As long as i can remember...

I have always wanted to be a hair stylist. I feel lucky, as this gave me early direction from a young age, so as soon as i left school my career began…

After 6 years i progressed quickly, moving from stylist to salon manager. Keen to keep moving forwards, it was then in 2005 I set my sights on London. I lived here for 2 years, during which time I gained valuable experience at the Covent Garden Aveda Institute, Hebe on the Strand and The Mowgli Salon in Primrose Hill.

After London, I relocated to Bristol in 2007, for 8 years.

Not long after arriving in Bristol my mum tragically passed away, As you can imagine this changed the path of my life forever! The knowledge and additional empathy i have gained from such a tragic experience, has given me a whole new level of understanding and perspective, its with these new learnings that i choose to use them in my work today.

During the 2 years after her passing i set up and built an onsite salon at the BBC, and a 2nd salon at Bristol University Halls of Residence - Hiatt Baker.

As the uni salon was term time, i was able to continue with my freelance work, which gave me the pleasure of working along side award winning celebrity makeup artist Sarah Brock, award winning photographers, award winning dress designer Mishi May, at vintage themed events, on theatrical/film productions and for private bridal clients.

After the 2 years, i took some time for me and my well-being, so that i could properly focus on the loss of my mum. I sold my business at Bristol Uni, worked at the BBC salon one day a week, and styled bridal hair clients at weekends. Slowing things down gave me time to heal by doing some fantastic alternative therapies, and solo travel.

In Jan 2012 i travelled to Thailand, and in Jan 2014 i travelled solo again, this time, to India for 2 months.

In March 2015, I bid farewell to Bristol and followed my heart to my new home of Cambridgeshire, to be with my boyfriend.

Present day:

After 7 fab years living in Cambridgeshire, our little family moved just outside of it towards Northamtonshire in March 2022, where we have now bought our dream family home together. on September 30th 2023, it was my turn to be a bride! After 10 years together, we chose the beautiful normanton church museum in rutland water to get married.

I’m also now a mummy, to a beautiful boy who is 5 years old. I love my job, as i’m able to work around his needs.

As well as my bridal work, I have a week job (2 -3 days) where i walk dogs and pet sit, my other business is called “Stay PAWSitive” :)

Thank you for taking the time to read my bio and to visit my website, I look forward to meeting you and working with you in the future.
